In the process of playing Ellen, she happened upon some misfortune; while attempting to protect someone who was picking up an enchanted sword, she was killed (at the hands of another player), and she crossed into the spirit world to find that it, in a word, sucked. She wanted back, and was willing to do almost anything to do so. She was approached by the 'sister' of the sword she'd already encountered (called the 'brother' sword). Both swords are inhabited by spirits, and bestow the wielder with incredible powers, especially when wielded together. The catch? Only two spirits can inhabit a body, and the dominant spirit gains control over the body while the other is pushed to the back of the mind and is effectively along for the ride. Ellen agreed to help the sister sword defeat the brother sword if she could be brought back to life, but betrayed the sister and pushed her spirit back into the sword, battling for control over her body with the brother spirit. The 'raven eyes' is a result of this-- black eyes with gold pupils. The mask is called a scholar mask... though she hasn't obtained that in game. Suffice to say, Ellen is pretty badass... (the brother sword is always talking to her, as well, and every day she battles for control of her body with him). 11" x 14", Prismacolor markers and Faber Castell ink pens and loooots of patience. |
